Baby development milestone

Baby development milestone
@the_kidsdoctor

Development is a continuous process. It starts in the intrauterine life and continues throughout life.
The maximum development of the brain occurs in the first 5 years of life, more so in the first 2 years of life. Now, development occurs in multiple domains – Motor, Social, Language, and cognition.

It is very important to know what to expect at what age. Obviously, every child is different and they develop at their own pace. But the pattern of development is the same in all babies like the first child sits and then learns to walk, it cannot happen the other way round.

😃 There is always a reasonable range of age at which a particular milestone is achieved. But if your child is not achieving it by then, the developmental delay should be suspected and consultation is warranted as early intervention matters.

😒Causes of developmental delay

👉Antenatal or Birth injury ( baby not cried)
👉Genetic syndromes
👉Metabolic
👉Neuromuscular issues

In this series, I will be posting about the important milestones in all domains.
